Alexandra Highet received competitive NIH/NIDDK F32 award!

Dr. Highet, a UCSF surgery resident, received her F32 notice of award (NOA). She has received $170,000 from the NIH/NIDDK to spend two years in the Wadhwani Lab studying outcomes in biliary atresia.
Dr. Highet’s research will focus on understanding access barriers for infants diagnosed with biliary atresia, the leading diagnosis for liver transplant in children.
